SANTA PAWS The first Saturday of every December is always time for pictures with Santa. This is a tradition that has been going on for more than 20 years. Professional Photographer and wife Sharleen Couey whistled, waved and bounced toys to get that perfect picture for many years with their instamatic camera. We just never knew who would come to see Santa - dogs, cats, rats, horses, Sicilian donkeys, goats, iguanas - all came as beloved pets to have their pictures taken. Santa is known for being giving and for reminding us to be kind to one another. This just seems to come naturally to the animals too as they meet and greet one another in line to see Santa. Pets are such a big part of our families that Santa photos just seemed like the right thing to do and of course they also remind us to live and take joy in the moment. This fun day is a gathering of pet lovers who come out to also support A-Pal Humane Society. At the former location on the hill, the pictures were taken in the barn, but we have moved inside and brought the straw too so all can be comfortable and warm. Our new digital photographer is also an amazing local pastel artist and animal lover, Lesley Harrison. Santa hails from the Bay area and with his white hair and beard and love for all animals, he's a natural hit. Pictures are a minimum donation of $5.00 each and all receipts go to A-PAL with the Feed Barn picking up all costs. Customers will get a photo with Santa and a Christmas photo card and envelope as well as a wonderful, fun experience with other pets and their families - come join us at the Feed Barn from 10:am till 4:pm!!!!!!!!!! |
